Definition of Tunneling

Tunneling is the basis of VPN to create a private network through the Internet. Tunneling is also the encapsulation or packaging of a protocol into a protocol packet.

Tunneling provides a connection point-to-point logical along the connectionless IP network. The process of transferring data from one network to another network utilizing the Internet as a veiled (tunneling). When the package runs menujun to the destination node, these packets through a pathway called tunnel.

Called tunnel because applications that use only saw two end points, so the package through the tunnel will only do one leap or hop. Tunneling on the VPN uses encryption to protect the data to not be seen by parties not authorized and to make a multiprotocol encapsulation if necessary.

Tunneling is a method to transfer data from one network to another network using the Internet underground. Protocol tunneling does not transmit the frame as generated by the nodes of origin for granted, but wrapping it shortly encapsulation in an additional header. The additional header provides routing information so that data can pass through the frame sent.

Tool :

              1.     Router 1941 3 pieces

Step :

              1.     Create a topology like the picture above
              2.     Port on IP 11.11.11.1/24 MUST USED ETHERNET Gigabyet 0/1
              3.     Port pada IP 12.12.12.2/24 MUST USED M ETHERNET Gigabyet 0/1
             4.     Beri IP pada setiap PC
             5.     Setting router 2 sebagai berikut :

Pengertian Tunneling

Tunneling adalah dasar dari VPN untuk membuat suatu jaringan private melalui jaringan internet. Tunneling juga merupakan enkapsulasi atau pembungkusan suatu protokol ke dalam paket protokol.

Tunneling menyediakan suatu koneksi point-to-point logis sepanjang jaringan IP yang bersifat connectionless. Proses transfer data dari satu jaringan ke jaringan lain memanfaatkan jaringan internet secara terselubung (tunneling). Ketika paket berjalan menujun ke node tujuan, paket ini melalui suatu jalur yang disebut tunnel .

Disebut tunnel atau saluran karena aplikasi yang memanfaatkannya hanya melihat dua end point, sehingga paket yang lewat pada tunnel hanya akan melakukan satu kali lompatan atau hop. Tunneling pada VPN menggunakan enkripsi untuk melindungi data agar tidak dapat dilihat oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak diberi otorisasi dan untuk membuat suatu encapsulation multiprotocol jika diperlukan.

Tunneling merupakan metode untuk transfer data dari satu jaringan ke jaringan lain dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet secara terselubung. Protocol tunneling tidak mengirimkan frame sebagaimana yang dihasilkan oleh node asalnya begitu saja, melainkan membungkusnya men-enkapsulasi dalam header tambahan. Header tambahan tersebut berisi informasi routing sehingga data frame yang dikirim dapat melewati.

Alat-alat :

              1.     Router 1941 sebanyak 3 buah
              2.     Switch 2960-24TT sebanyak 2 buah
              3.     PC sebanyak 2 buah
              4.     Router menggunakan port gigabyte ethernet

Langkah-langkah :

              1.     Buat topologi seperti gambar di atas
              2.     Port pada IP 11.11.11.1/24 HARUS MENGGUNAKAN ETHERNET Gigabyet 0/1
              3.     Port pada IP 12.12.12.2/24 HARUS MENGGUNAKAN ETHERNET Gigabyet 0/1
             4.     Beri IP pada setiap PC
             5.     Setting router 2 sebagai berikut :

Router#configure terminal (untuk masuk ke pengaturan router)

Pengertian VLAN

Teknologi VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) bekerja dengan cara melakukan pembagian network secara logika ke dalam beberapa subnet. VLAN adalah kelompok device dalam sebuah LAN yang dikonfigurasi (menggunakan software manajemen) sehingga mereka dapat saling berkomunikasi asalkan dihubungkan dengan jaringan yang sama walaupun secara fisikal mereka berada pada segmen LAN yang berbeda. Jadi VLAN dibuat bukan berdasarkan koneksi fisikal namun lebih pada koneksi logikal, yang tentunya lebih fleksibel. Secara logika, VLAN membagi jaringan ke dalam beberapa subnetwork. VLAN mengijinkan banyak subnet dalam jaringan yang menggunakan switch yang sama

Topologi


Alat-Alat:

           1.     3 buah router PT
           2.     2 buah switch 2960-24TT
           3.     8 buah PC

Langkah-langkah:

          1.     Buatlah topologi seperti di atas
          2.     IP PC diisi dengan IP yang sekelas dengan gateway (bebas)
          3.     Setting Switch 1
